Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Michelle Williams – your Survey123 Jedi!
I’m a wife, a mom, and an unapologetic spreadsheet enthusiast, so it’s only natural that I found my calling with Survey123 Connect.
Everything changed for me on May 2, 2022, when a car accident shifted my perspective. During recovery, I had to relearn GIS and Survey123 from scratch. That experience uncovered something powerful: while watching my own teaching videos, I found the gaps in how I explained things. It was humbling—and transformative. That journey didn’t just make me stronger with the tools; it made me a more patient and thoughtful instructor. Now, I’m here to share that clarity with you.
I earned my MSGIS degree from the University of Redlands in 2018, just a few miles from the Esri campus ️—and many of my professors were from Esri itself. Today, I work at Environmental Resource Management, where I lead Survey123 training and mentorship for GIS teams. I’ve built Survey123 solutions for industries ranging from utilities and archaeology to demolition work for pharmaceutical companies. If you can dream it, I can build it.
I proudly call myself a Survey123 Jedi , and my mission is to train the next generation of Survey123 Padawans and Jedi .
When I’m not building forms or teaching workshops, you’ll find me mountain biking, hiking, camping, or scrapbooking. I’m also a big fan of Star Wars, Marvel, and the Hallmark Channel.
