Awards and Scholarships

Women in GIS (WiGIS) offers an Award and Scholarship Program for women studying and working in geospatial fields. In collaboration with Esri, Women In GIS recognizes 3 individuals with an award and provides 6 scholarships.

WiGIS Awards recognize the contributions of women to geospatial fields. The scholarships provide funds for education expenses to undergraduate and graduate students and seed grants for women in the professional or academic sectors to support projects and research in a myriad of geospatial areas.

Applications* are accepted from women in any country/region. Underrepresented women are particularly encouraged to apply. You may self-nominate or nominate someone else as well.
